Spin Switch
WallNTRP 3.5–4.010 minbackhandforehand
Why this drill
Alternating slice and topspin on the same wing — off rebounds that each arrive differently because of the spin you just applied — is the most concentrated spin education available anywhere, including lessons.
Setup
Five to six meters from the wall, net line marked. Backhand wing first — it's where the switch matters most.
The drill
Strict alternation on one wing: topspin drive, then slice, then topspin — reading each rebound, because your slice returns low and skidding while your topspin bounces up. Count switch pairs; eight pairs without a miss is advanced. Then the forehand wing, where the slice is rarer and the drill humbler.
One thought to take on court
Two different swings, one identical preparation — the racquet decides at the drop, not at the takeaway.
