Wall Ladder

WallNTRP 2.0–3.015 minforehandbackhand

Why this drill

The wall never misses, never cancels, and never flatters you. The ladder format turns it into a measurable consistency engine — the single best free practice tool in tennis.

Setup

A hitting wall with a net-height line (chalk one at 0.9 meters if needed). Start five to six meters back — roughly service-box depth.

The drill

Rally forehands against the wall, one bounce between hits, every ball above the line. A streak of ten climbs you one rung: take one big step back and start the next streak. Three rungs completes the ladder. Then repeat the whole ladder with backhands. Log the deepest rung you reach; that number is your benchmark to beat.

One thought to take on court

Racquet back before the ball hits the wall — the wall punishes late preparation before it punishes anything else.
