The Ninety
WallNTRP 2.5–3.510 minforehandbackhand
Why this drill
A pure consistency test with a clock: how many clean wall balls in ninety seconds? The format punishes rushing and rewards rhythm — and the number is brutally comparable week to week.
Setup
Five to six meters from the wall, net line marked, phone timer set to ninety seconds.
The drill
Rally for ninety seconds, one bounce, any wing, every ball above the line. Count hits; a miss doesn't reset the count but costs you the restart time. Rest one minute. Five rounds. Log total across all five — a 3.0 player lands somewhere near 150; the number, not the style, is the judge.
One thought to take on court
Swing at seventy percent — the clock rewards the player who never has to chase.
