Inside-Out Wall

WallNTRP 3.5–4.010 minforehandfootwork

Why this drill

The run-around forehand needs hundreds of repetitions of one footwork move — around the ball, hips clearing, contact out front. The wall supplies the volume; a chalk target keeps the shot honest.

Setup

Six meters back, standing left of your wall space's center (right-hander). Chalk box at net height, slightly left of straight ahead — the inside-out target.

The drill

Rally deliberately toward your backhand side, then run around each rebound to strike inside-out forehands at the box. Each around-the-ball repetition counts; box hits count double. Sets of ten reps, four sets. A rebound you're forced to take as a backhand resets the set — the feet were late.

One thought to take on court

Move around the ball, not to it — your left shoulder should point at the target before the swing starts.
