Call Your Shot
WallNTRP 3.0–3.510 minforehandbackhandfootworkstrategy
Why this drill
Choosing forehand or backhand before the rebound declares itself — then moving to make the call true — trains the decision-and-move habit that separates players from ball-hitters.
Setup
Five meters from the wall, rallying near the center of your wall space so either wing is always possible.
The drill
Call "forehand" or "backhand" aloud AS YOUR BALL LEAVES YOUR STRINGS — before the rebound's direction is obvious — then move to honor the call. A kept call scores one; a broken call scores minus one. Rally to plus ten. Alternate calls deliberately so neither wing hides.
One thought to take on court
Commit the feet the instant you call — a call without a first step is just commentary.
