Bounce Smash
WallNTRP 3.0–4.010 minvolleyfootwork
Why this drill
The wall's overhead drill: smash downward so the ball rebounds off the ground and wall back up into smashing position. Continuous overhead repetitions — impossible with a partner, trivial here.
Setup
Three to five meters from the wall on a hard surface. Toss the first ball yourself.
The drill
Smash down into the ground so the ball ricochets up off the wall into a high arc — then smash the arc. Continuous cycles: five in a row is competent, ten is genuinely good. Three attempts at your best streak, resting between. Adjust power so the rhythm, not the violence, survives.
One thought to take on court
Sideways and racquet up before the ball peaks — the smash is set in the turn, not the swing.
