Three Serves Ladder
SoloNTRP 3.5–4.020 minserve
Why this drill
Flat, slice, and topspin are three different contracts with the ball. Hitting them in deliberate blocks — same toss discipline, different swing paths — builds a serving toolbox instead of one serve at three speeds.
Setup
Hopper at the baseline, both boxes in play. Optional cones deep in each box.
The drill
Ten flat serves (through the ball), ten slice (around the outside, curving away), ten topspin (up the back, kicking on the bounce). Count makes per block and note which spin's percentage lags — that block repeats. Finish with a mixed ten calling each serve aloud before the toss.
One thought to take on court
The toss barely moves; the swing path does the changing — a toss that telegraphs the spin gives the return away.
