Serve Roulette

SoloNTRP 3.0–4.015 minservestrategy

Why this drill

Practicing targets in fixed blocks builds grooves; matches demand serves on command in random order. Roulette closes that gap — a randomizer calls the corner, and you must deliver cold, like a real deuce point.

Setup

Hopper, four corner targets, and any randomizer — dice (1–4 mapped to corners), a shuffled note app list, or coins.

The drill

Roll, serve to the called corner, score the hit or miss, roll again. Thirty serves, no target ever known in advance. Log hits out of thirty and compare against your blocked Four Corners numbers — the difference measures how much of your accuracy is groove versus command. Command is what plays on Saturday.

One thought to take on court

Reset the routine completely after each roll — the randomizer tests the ritual as much as the arm.
