Middle Third

Why this drill
Aiming through the middle third of the court removes the sidelines from your opponent's errors menu and yours — the discipline that wins windy days, tight scores, and virtually all of doubles.
Setup
Mark the middle third of the baseline-to-service-line zone on both sides — cones or ball cans at the third-lines. Baseline rally.
The drill
Play first to 15: every ball must land deep in the middle third. Anything wide of the third-lines — even inside the singles court — loses the point. Rallies get long; that is the design. Winning here means out-lasting, not out-hitting.
One thought to take on court
Aim small through the big target — pick a cone in the middle, not "the middle."
